Examination and Promotion

  1. Promotion in given on the basis of one year work done and not merely on marks scored in the final exam. Class work/ Projects are also assessed. A student must score 45% marks in all subjects for the promotion (K.G.I to CI. V) and 50% marks in English, Hindi, Mathematics and Science subjects are necessary for class VI and above for promotion.
  2. Merit Certificate will be awarded to students who score 98% and above in KG.I-KG. II , 95% and above in class I-V 90% and above in class VI-XI.
  3. A student who fails in English will not get a promotion.
  4. No students will be allowed to sit in a class for more than two academic years.
  5. Each student is required to be present for 85% of school days as a pre- condition for promotion.
  6. It is compulsory for all the students to appear for all the test and examinations. Answer paper of the Half-yearly & annual examinations is not shown to the parents.
  7. There shall be neither re-test nor re-exam. The result declared at the end of the year is final and cannot be reconsidered. Regarding promotion or failure, the principal's decision is final.
  8. There are two terminal examinations. Each term has two-unit tests. Progress reports are given to the students to be shown to the parents and to be counter signed by them.
  9. In case a student is absent at these examinations no provision can be made for supplementary tests. Absence in any examination is considered a failure.
  10. There is no provision for re-examination or promotion on trial for students who do not pass. The result of the final examinations cannot be altered.
  11. The breach of any of the regulations of conduct in the examinations or the use of unfair means, even if discovered subsequently will result in the cancellation of the particular paper and the student concerned will be awarded zero. If such misconduct is repeated, the student will be expelled from the entire examination (all subjects)
  12. Promotion at the end of the Year will be based on a total continuous assessment in every subject and on the gradual improvement and performance recorded during the year.
  13. Examinees are not expected to indulge in any of the following acts:
    1. Breach of any of the regulations of conduct at examinations or indiscipline in or outside the hall. a student guility of disorderly conduct or responsible for causing any kind of distances in or near the examination room is liable to be refused admission is subsequent papers. The use of unfair means, even if discovered subsequently, will merit the cancellation of the particular paper and student concerned will be awarded a zero.
    2. A student who has made arrangements to obain unfair help in connection with the question papers from any person or any agency is liable to have result in the examination cancelled as a whole. Candidates who are detected giving or obtaining, or attempting to give or obtain, unfair assistance, or who are otherwise detected in any dishonesty whatsoever, will be debated from the examination.
    3. A student is not expected to have in his position any book memorandum, or pocket book, or papers whatsoever during the examination.
      Incidents/possession of any of the above may result in Suspension and in the event of a serious nature-to be judged by die principal-may result in dismissal from school. a student who has the recourse to premeditated cheating for the first time will have his/ her results in the examination as a whole cancelled and he she will have repeat the class in which the student was studying the sand instance of cheating, he/she will be issued a Transfer Certificate.
